I had this buffet cabinet built for the store last year when I had to close store #2, because I needed storage in the worst way. Since closing a store is an emotional and physical drain, I was not too inspired to finish off the cabinet in any creative sort of way for about 4 months. Well, last week I decided to paint the store, and the cabinet and I think it is totally cool. I purchased some handmade paper, glued it down and then I poured the easy epoxy clear gloss resin over the top and let it dry. It looks great! I then painted and stained the wood cabinet so it took on a metal/ industrial sort of look. Check out the photos and let me know what you think!

Alot has been happening in the ART 634 building and with Hazelle M. It has been almost a year since my last post, and well, that is pretty pathetic. So, to update you in a jif, I have opened a new store called J.A.G. - Jackson Art Gallery. JAG opened in April of this year and features blown glass, ceramic handmade pottery, and metal sculpture. All this presented to you in a very contemporary modern atmosphere. JAG really fills a void within our little artist community, so I hope you can come down and check it out. ART 634 has had our share of road construction this summer. The construction has made it virtually impossible to visit, although, with determination, you can still get here by entering thru north street, on our make shift dirt road going thru the old prison wall! The construction is slated to be finished by the end of next week. We will have a new brick road, lighting and an ART WALK.

I hope that you can join us for the Grand Opening of our ART WALK on Sept 12 from 12-4. We will have music, food, bikes for the trail, and great shopping. Come check out Hazelle M. and the new J.A.G. Jackson ART Gallery!

Happy July 4th! Hazelle M. will be open on Friday July 3rd from 11-3. We will be closed on July 4th. We will resume normal business hours after the holiday.
Hazelle M. will be open on 2nd Sunday, July 12th from 12-4. Bring all of the out of town guests to view some great ART, Jewelry, and listen to some music with a few free munchies. A great family outing.
New wall tiles are here from Wendy Costas, a great gift for the summer. Also new flowers in from Purple Baby Daddies. These are a must have for your garden! Available in new colors and sizes, come on down to check it out!

Friday Oct. 24th - Joan Larsen Demo in Hazelle M.

Friday Oct 24th from 6-8 Joan Larsen will be doing a FREE demo on Monotype painting. This process is painting on glass and transferring your image to paper. Its really neat to watch and a great way to get inspiration. Joan will also have her artwork on display. Come on down to ART 634 and Hazelle M. for some great art and inspiration.

Thanks to all who attended our Fall Festival for the 2nd Sunday in October. We had a great time, with Adams farm market and Rocky Top Barbeque, lots of projects and trick or treating for the kids!

Well, I am sorry to say that my friend Cindy has closed her store REAL GOODS, located in the ART 634 building. She isn't going far, so don't despair. She will be returning on the dock on WED & SAT for a farmers market of fresh, local organic produce. Please come on down to check it out, I will give you more info. as I recieve it.
There is a great space for rent if you are looking to open a little cafe/bistro, It is small enough for 1-2 people to handle and quaint enough to put out some rockin' food! Major potential here, guaranteed customers with the tenants who LOVE TO EAT!
